Private Collection 1956 from Linkwood Distillery is a truly remarkable and refined single malt. Distilled in January 1956, the whisky was matured for a total of 60 years in first-fill European oak Sherry hogshead.

Nose: The nose is rich and warm, filled with baked apples, raisins, toffee and fruitcake.

Palate: On the palate, the single malt is full-bodied, with flavours of fruitcake and dark chocolate orange.

Finish: Perfect, long lasting finish.

Distillery Information

An unsung hero in the world of single malts, Linkwood Distillery was established by Peter Brown in 1821, but wouldn't see production for another four years. Located on the outskirts of Elgin in the Speyside region, the distillery remained in the Brown family until the end of the nineteenth century.
