Nose: Floral. Barratt's Fruit Salad chews, June strawberries, soft vanilla fudge and Walnut Whip.

Palate: A tangy, caramelised fruitiness - baked cranberry and apricot pie. A deep, heavy sweetness - Demerara sugar, sultanas, and underlying Lyle's black treacle, with peanut brittle and ginger spice.

Finish: Peppery warmth on the finish.

Distillery Information

Andrew Peary and Robert Bain founded Miltonduff distillery in 1824. The distillery had previously operated illicitly on the site since the turning of the century, but following the passing of the Excise Act, Peary and Bain established the distillery as a legitimate business operation.
