Hailing from the North British distillery, this single grain Scotch whisky spent an impressive 31 years maturing in a single cask between 1991 and 2022. The cask was opened by independent bottler Duncan Taylor, releasing 120 cask-strength bottles for its Rare Auld collection.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.
Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.

The North British Distillery was established in 1885 and has been trading in Edinburgh since 1887. We are a distillation and maturation business selling grain spirit – the base for blended whisky – and its by-products.
