Penelope Bourbon Private Select is a series that explores new and unique expressions of Penelope's signature four-grain straight bourbon whiskey. For this release, they partnered with Breaking Bourbon to create a unique, private blend of bourbon. They started by selecting three barrels. Each barrel was from a different mash bill. There was a 21% rye, 45% wheat, and 99% corn. After the barrel selection, they submitted four different blend options. After rounds of debate, they landed on a blend that was 90/5/5 21% rye, 45% wheat, and 99% corn.
