Matured in traditional oak casks for at least 21 years before being transferred for a limited period to casks that have previously held Madeira fortified wine. Using the Canteiro process the highest-quality Madeira wines are left to age under the heat of the sun , imparting intense flavours to the liquid and creating unique and highly sought-after oak casks. It is the only Madeira Cask finish expression from The Balvenie and perfect for whisky explorers looking for a rich, smooth and honeyed whisky with a unique finish.
