Bunnahabhain Auld Acquaintance (D.1968, B.2002) Hogmanay Edition Scotch Whisky | 700ML

Bunnahabhain Distillery, based in the north of Islay, near Port Askaig, has been producing whisky since 1881. Its name translates from Gaelic to "mouth of the river" (Margadale brook flows a few hundred meters from the distillery). In 1887, the distillery became the property of Highland Distilleries Co., which was acquired by the Edrington Group in 1999, and since 2003 has been owned by Burn Stewart Distillers. We present here a rare as well as historic edition of this whiskey, Auld Aquaitance-distilled on December 31, 1968, Highland Distillers spent almost three and a half decades in sherry barrels. Bottled in 2002, when the factory did not distill and was waiting for a new buyer, in a limited edition of only 2002 bottles.

Nose: Satisfying aroma.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
