Nose: Rich Texas wildflower honey, caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, brown sugar, molasses, and warm baking spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and viscous, with honey sweetness, dark caramel, ripe fruit, vanilla, roasted nuts, cinnamon, toasted oak, and powerful cask-strength spice.

Finish: Long, warm, and lingering, with Texas wildflower honey, charred oak, caramelized sugar, vanilla, and persistent baking spice.

Distillery Information

Garrison Brothers Distillery is based in Hye, Texas, and is recognized as Texas’s first legal whiskey distillery. The distillery produces its bourbon from a sweet mash and ages its whiskey in new American white oak under the intense Texas climate, which accelerates maturation and creates pronounced oak and caramel character. Balmorhea is the distillery’s signature twice-barreled bourbon, traditionally moving from one new American oak barrel into a second new oak barrel for additional maturation. Garrison Brothers’ single-barrel program highlights individual casks selected for distinctive flavor and character.
