A 1968 vintage Glen Garioch released by independent bottlers Douglas Laing as part of their Platinum Selection series. This was aged for a total of 36 years, including a six-month finishing period in a rum cask, before being bottled at natural cask strength of 55.9% in 2004.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
Distillery Information
The Glen Garioch distillery (pronounced Glen Geerie) was founded around 1797 by the Manson brothers, although many claim it was in fact Thomas Simpson. Different sources tell different stories. It is located in Oldemldrum, a small town in the Highlands famous for producing the finest barley in all of Scotland.
