Paul John Peated Select Cask Indian Single Malt Whisky

As its name suggests, the Paul John Peated Select Cask serves as the brand’s take on the quintessential peated single malt whisky offering drinkers with a well-balanced blend of smoky and spicy flavors with each sip. Made from 100% malted Indian barley that have been dried in peat flames, each batch of this whisky begins with the malt being fermented before being distilled and the resulting spirit aged for at least 7 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. After this, the finished whisky is then tapped and bottled uncut and unfiltered to retain as much of its rich flavors as possible.

Paul John Peated Select Cask Indian Single Malt Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Bright amber in color, each dram of this whiskey yields a sweet, earthy, and smoky aroma accented by hints of spice.

Palate: This then gives way to a sweet and drying palate of papaya, Muscovado and Demerara sugars, cocoa, spice, herbs, and campfire smoke.

Finish: A long and delicate finish of dried orange, licorice, and generous helpings of smoky peat.
