        Producer Information

Peller Estate is situated in the Niagara region of Canada, just south of the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, close to the US border. It is particularly known for its ice wines, but also produces more conventional wines made from Chardonnay and Riesling. The wine portfolio of Peller Estate has four collections: the Andrew Peller Signature Series, the Private Reserve, the Family Series and the French Cross. Icewine is produced under the Signature Series line from Cabernet Franc, Riesling and the notorious icewine variety, Vidal. American and French oak barrels are used for ageing of select icewines for up to four months to add complexity. An interesting innovation from Peller Estate is the Ice Cuvée Rosé. It is produce via the méthode traditionnelle using Vidal Icewine as a sugar source. The portfolio also features varietal Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. Bordeaux red varieties are vinified seperately and in blends, plus Gamay and Baco Noir. Peller Estates was founded by Hungarian immigrant Andrew Peller in the Okanagan Valley in 1927, and the move eastward to Ontario took place in 1969.
