Producer Information

Baldacci Family Vineyards is a wine producer based in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley. Thomas Baldacci established the estate with a view to producing Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the Stags Leap District, and today, cultivates Cabernet Sauvignon in the Calistoga and Carneros AVAs (American Viticultural Area) as well. In total, the Baldacci Family farm over 50 acres (20 hectares) of vineyards. The estate vineyard, in Stags Leap District, has loam-rich soils interspersed with clay and enjoys a combination of warm sunshine and cooling afternoon winds, making it excellent for Cabernet Sauvignon. Baldacci produces two single-vineyard wines from the site: Brenda's and Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2003, Baldacci acquired the 9ha (23 acre) Honey B vineyard in Carneros. Grape varieties like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot and Gewürztraminer are all cultivated here for the estate's Family Collection label, which includes its Sorelle Chardonnay, Elizabeth Pinot Noir and Fraternity red blend. The Stella Knight vineyard in Calistoga is the newest addition to the portfolio. It was purchased in 2013 and consists of 4ha (9 acres) of Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted on volcanic soils.
