Whiskey: Alfred Giraud Harmonie French Malt
Alfred Giraud's Harmonie blends together three French malt whiskies from different distilleries. The whisky has been aged in both new French Limousin oak and American white oak casks which previously held XO Cognac, and after this ageing it's then blended with a fourth French malt, though this one is lightly peated. This final liquid goes back into the Cognac casks for further ageing, and then it's bottled at 46.1% ABV.

Detailed Description
A very limited-production whisky dependent on the availability of exceptional casks, HARMONIE begins with a blend of three non-peated French malt distillates matured in three types of casks: the vast majority include casks previously used to age extra old cognac plus some new casks made from French Limousin or American oak. The triple malt is then matured exclusively in ex-extra old cognac casks, then blended with a lightly peated French malt distillate before being finished in the same ex-extra old cognac casks until reaching the optimal flavor profile.
Alfred Giraud Harmonie French Malt Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Complex, fruity and floral aromas with a slight peaty scent. Elegant aromas of the Cognac’s oak aging barrels followed by a hint of smoke.
Palate: An intense burst of flavor of sour and sweet. The overwhelming flavor profile is the fresh fruity scent of apples, with hints of other dried fruits and woody, oaky notes.
Finish: A Smoky finish.
