This limited edition Islay single malt was distilled at Ardbeg in 1977. Matured for more than two decades, this expression was released in small batches between 2001 and 2004. Each bottle is presented free from chill filtration at a strength of 46% abv.

Nose: Rich and creamy on the comparatively delicate, smooth nose.
Palate: Soft fudge, peat smoke and cloves. The palate offres more cloves, spicy peat and a touch of iodine, lemon and steaks cooking on a barbecue.
Finish: The finish is lengthy, with more medicinal notes and drying smoke.
Distillery Information
Ardbeg Distillery, which is situated on the southern coast of Islay, was founded in 1815 by the MacDougall family. Once the peated barley arrives at the distillery, it is milled and mashed with water sourced from Loch Uigeadail, which is situated approximately 3 miles away from the distillery.
