Hailing from the fine folks at Hunter Laing & Co, indie bottler extraordinaire, this single malt was distilled at Blair Athol distillery in the picturesque Pitlochry in 2010. Matured in a bourbon barrel (HL15579) for 8 years, this single cask expression was bottled in 2018 free from any chill filtration or artificial colouring. Only 351 bottles were filled and each one of them is presented at the preferred First Editions series strength of 46% abv.

Nose: Candied fruits and sweet tea with liquorice.

Palate: Fruity with deliciously juicy apple and orange notes.

Finish: Toasted barley lingering on.

Blair Athol Distillery is a distillery in Scotland that distills Blair Athol single malt whisky. It is used in Bell's whisky, and is also normally available in a 12-year-old bottling. The distillery is located on the south edge of Pitlochry in Perthshire, near the River Tummel. The distillery was founded in 1798 by John Steward and Robert Robertson, originally named 'Aldour', after the Allt Dour burn the distillery draws it water from, but closed soon[when?] after opening. The distillery opened again and changed ownership to John Robertson in 1825.
