Producer Information
Consejo de la Alta is a winery located in the famous Rioja region. The history of the winery dates back to 1846 when Don Hipolito Banuelos wrote a manuscript about the processes, production, and quality of wines. He provided all the knowledge, innovation, and contributions under which the winery currently operates. Don Hipolito left his legacy behind for future generations to elaborate on making Consejo de la Alta a high quality wine producer in Rioja today. In 1835, Hipolito started working alone, and by 1941, a small group of people began helping him in the vineyards. He set up his cellar for wine production in 1846. He put a lot of effort, determination, tenacity, and hard work into the winery which helped him discover new blends that were shipped to several countries worldwide.
