Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey is created from 100% malted barley and twice-distilled in Scottish copper pot stills. Release 043 started as a pale malt whiskey that matured for three years in a charred new American Oak barrel before being transferred into an Ardbeg Scotch Whisky cask for one year.

A single cask release, Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey Peated Cask Release 043 delivers a combination of classic Copperworks whiskey flavors and the heavy smoke flavors of Islay Scotch. If you enjoy rich smoky whiskeys, this one's for you. Although this release only gets its smoky flavor from the cask (not the barley that was used to brew it), it has a much more heavy smoke flavor than the recent double gold award-winning Washington Peated Whiskey Release 042.

Nose: Aromas of roasted marshmallow, pie crust and morning campfire
Palate: Notes of roasted apples, caramelized sugars and dried fruit

Copperworks Distilling Company is a craft distillery, tasting room and gift shop located on the waterfront in downtown Seattle. They produce small-batch American Single Malt Whiskey, a series of gins, and vodka, all from malted barley. Copperworks was founded by co-owners/distillers Jason Parker and Micah Nutt—both experienced craft beer makers, who built Copperworks to explore the possibilities of malted barley by distilling high-quality craft beer (without hops) into fine spirits.
