The Real McCoy 3 Year Rum

From Foursquare distillery in Barbados comes this rum from The Real McCoy range, aged in heavily charred American oak barrels for three years. This rum actually left the oak barrel a light amber colour, though it was then charcoal filtered to remove the colour without losing any of the flavour. Perfect for cocktails.

The Real McCoy 3 Year Rum Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of fresh and candied fruit including banana, mango and raspberry.

Palate: The rum enters with a pleasant mix of the aforementioned sweet fruit backed by vanilla and cream, and balanced by a good amount of spice in the form of black pepper and nutmeg, with a hint of cardamom.

Finish: The finish is quite long.

Tucked away in the southern countryside of Barbados, on 8 acres of a former sugar plantation, is the magnificent Foursquare Rum Distillery and Heritage Park. This working rum factory is well known for its collection of rums, producing a wide range including the highly favoured Doorly's, Old Brigand and E.S.A.Field. Foursquare Rum Distillery is the proud winner of the Rum Distillery of the Year in November 2016 at the IWSC in London, UK.
