Glen Scotia 8 Year Old (D.2013, B.2022) Campbeltown Malts Festival Scotch Whisky | 700ML

An excellent release from Glen Scotia to celebrate the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2022. This heavily peated spirit was distilled in 2013 and matured for seven and a half years in first fill bourbon barrels before a year's finish in first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. A smoky, savoury version of Glen Scotia's which packs a nice maritime punch- we found smoked cheese, rock pools, charred marshmallows and salted toffee.

Nose: A delicate aroma.

Palate: The palate is an explosion of flavors and the finish is nice.

Finish: The finish is surprisingly long and warming.
