They always loved the powerful concentration of flavor and texture in their fully married blend of Kooper Family Rye before proofed down. So in 2018 they bottled it up at barrel strength and released it in small batches exclusively at their Texas tasting room. A barrel strength Rye Whiskey made for the strong of heart and created for adventurous lovers of untamed flavor and a sophisticated taste experience. Mash Bill 51% Rye, 36% Corn, 13% Malt + 95% Rye, 5% Malt.
Kooper Family Barrel Reserve Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruit notes of raisins and cherry. Spice, caramel and vanilla bean.
Palate: Rye spice, dark fruit, with warm anise, tobacco and sandalwood.
Finish: Toffee, caramel apple, black pepper, vanilla, smoke and soft oak.
