This straight bourbon whiskey was made from 80% corn and 20% rye and aged for 5 years in a 53-gallon barrel. The nose is spicy and inviting, with hints of maple-drizzled flapjacks. The palate has notes of melted dark chocolate, toffee, caramel creams, and baking spices. Fresh, yet fully rounded.

Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask from Union Horse Distilling Co. in Lenexa, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City. Established in 2010, the family-owned distillery uses locally grown grain to make whiskies that reflect the intersection of the Midwest and the Great Plains.
