Farmer Brown Ale is one of their favorite local brews. Rich with chocolate malts, it has been a hit on its own and also barrel aged in Cody Road whiskey barrels. Now, you can taste it as a whiskey! They took over 3,000 gallons of Farmer Brown Ale wash and distilled the alcohol out of it. They put that spirit into used Cody Road Bourbon barrels and let it soak for over two years. The result is a wonderfully unique exploration of the brew.
Distillery Information
Mississippi River Distilling, located right on the banks of its namesake in LeClaire, Iowa, is one of the four distilleries taking part in a highly anticipated collaborative bourbon. It has plenty of its own limited edition whiskies to offer its fan base as well, such as the recently released Six Shooter Smoke bottling that came out at the end of January.
