Rio Brazos Whistlestop Texas Whiskey

Rio Brazos Distillery’s Whistlestop Texas Whiskey is a historically accurate, double pot-distilled, sweet corn whiskey, bottled unaged and unfiltered. Every drop is fermented and distilled from a mash of 81% corn and 19% malted barley and hand-bottled fresh from the still to reflect the essence of the grains used. They grind cook ferment and distill a mash of texas- grown sweet corn. Their double pot distillation method preserves oils and congeners. It is bottled unaged and unfiltered. Resulting in a full bodied spirit similar in character to a premium blanco tequila or rum. Its clean flavor and silky texture make it ideal for mixing classic cocktails or sipping on its own. 45% abv.

Distillery Information

Rio Brazos Distillery is located in College Station and is owned by Nathan Barkman. The craft distillery opened in December 2013. The distillery is situated in a warehouse space next to Perrine Winery – Dowling Rd and New Republic Brewing which makes for a nice little destination in College Station. The Rio Brazos Distillery makes whiskey from small batches of sweet, yellow corn and roasted barley malts that are cooked in a kettle and distilled in a 500-gallon reflux pot still.
