Anisette liqueur produced by the Fratelli Caffo Distillery in Limbadi, Italy Made with two varieties of Calabrian black anise seeds and tops combined with a proprietary blend of rare spices.

Caffo Anisette Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of apricot, star anise, lemon, and candied fennel on the nose.

Palate: The palate displays mint, star anise, angelica root, and cacao.

Finish: Finish that calls to brighter, candied fruit notes of lemon and Indian mukhwas candy.

Distillery Information

The history of the Caffo's family business dates back to the end of the nineteenth century, when Giuseppe Caffo began distilling pomace on the side of volcanic Mount Etna. After years of experience managing distilleries, he bought an old distillery in Santa Venerina, Sicily, in 1915.
