Translated from Spanish, “Añejo” means aged or vintage which makes a lot of sense since our Pura Vida Extra Añejo Tequilas are aged in high quality, second generation Cognac barrels for at least three years. This extra aging process allows our Añejo to darken and mature resulting in a tequila that is extremely smooth, complex, and delightful.

Pura Vida Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich aromas of cola nut, vanilla, pineapple, ginger and pepper.

Palate: Dry, yet fruity, medium to full body with undertones of guava, lychee, spicy oak and subtle grassy herbs.

Finish: Long smooth; spicy and richly layered.

Under the care of these vigilant agaveros, the fields of beautiful blue agave in Los Altos earned international acclaim for its exceptional quality, rich flavor, and high sugar content (the lifeblood of tequila).
