Liqueur: 1889 Geijer Glögglikör | 700ML
A spice liqueur inspired by Glögg, a traditional Swedish winter spiced drink. Geijer Glogg is based on grandma Maria Charlotta’s recipe, who incidentally was born in 1889. The Geijer family have taken their granny’s recipe but used spirit as a base in place of the traditional red wine. Geijer Glögg is flavoured with cardamon, clove, cinnamon, almond, raisons and Seville orange peel. These botanicals are distilled in a copper pot still by St. George Spirits in Alameda, California using techniques similar to gin making. The final product is sweetened with 180 grams of sugar per litre.

Detailed Description
Detailed Description
1889 Geijer Glögglikör (pronounced yay-er gluhg) is a Swedish holiday liqueur that shares many similarities to mulled wine, but with an interesting twist. It uses many of the same botanicals as you'd find in a steaming cup of mulled wine, including cardamom, clove and cinnamon. However, instead of the usual red wine, 1889 Geijer Glögglikör is made by distilling and infusing the spices into neutral spirit. The result is a lighter, refined take on the traditional Christmas drink. Enjoy it the traditional way by serving it neat and hot, or sling it in a cocktail or two. 1889 Geijer Glögglikör pairs well with rum, bourbon and gin, the latter of which goes to make the great Glögg Gimlet. The 1889 Geijer Glögglikör comes from the Geijer family recipe and made in California by the talented hands at St. George Spirits, makers of Terroir Gin and Absinthe Verte.
