Although Robertson Bros., the brand's shippers, produced some of the best Vintage Port ever, very little of wine now retains the label due to a quantity decline beginning in the year 1970. For the time being, Rebello Valente is owned by Vivendi, which owns the Sandeman / Seagram corporation, of which Rebello Valente is a subsidiary.
In general, older vintages are what you should be on the lookout for, however a pleasant 1985 will be enjoyable to drink over the following five years.
