Ann and Pieter Ferreira established their boutique label, Pieter Ferreira, in 2012, with their first release occurring in 2019. However, the Ferreira name has long been associated with Méthode Cap Classique. For this particular vintage blanc de blancs, Chardonnay grapes were carefully chosen from different vineyard blocks located in the renowned Robertson wine region, approximately 160km east of Cape Town. The unique soils in Robertson, consisting of weathered shale and limestone deposits, have solidified its reputation as South Africa`s premier region for cultivating Cap Classique grapes.
