      Producer Information

      The Cruz de Alba winery is located in Quintanilla de Onísimo, directed by Rodolfo Bastida, General Director of Ramón Bilbao , beginning its journey in Ribera del Duero in 2003, with some vineyards planted in 53 in Pago de los Hoyales, very close to Peñafiel . The Cruz de Alba vineyard extends very close to the town of Padilla de Duero, on the southern edge of the Ribera, at an altitude of 750 meters. The farm, dotted with green pine forests, has a total of 40 hectares of vineyards distributed in 18 plots . To make their wines, only the best Tempranillo grapes are used through agrohomeopathic treatments and manual harvesting following the biodynamic calendar. According to agrohomeopathy, minimal intervention is carried out on the vineyards, applying only preparations of substances of plant, animal or mineral origin and with radioesthesia it allows dialogue with the vineyards and plants. For Sergio Ávila, oenology is a way of living and feeling, which is why he bases his work on observation, the relationship with nature and respect for life cycles . This way of working allows you to interpret the specific needs of the land, making the crops grow with the highest quality in your vineyards.
