Pinot Noir has a nice, dark, ruby ​​red color. In the fragrance you will find elegant tones of raspberry, red cherry (cherry stone), but also wilder shades of forest strawberry and lingonberry. The taste is fruity and immediate at first, but develops in the glass towards more crispness and depth, combined with mild spices and a more rounded tannin at the end.

The Reinisch family is the fourth generation to grow wine in Tattendorf in the Thermenregion , Lower Austria . The Johanneshof Reinisch cultivates vineyards in the most valuable locations around the traditional wine-growing towns of Tattendorf and Gumpoldskirchen. The special quality of the alluvial brown earth soils lies in their high permeability, which ensures rapid warming and thus greatly promotes the ripening process of the grapes. The high lime content brings a pronounced minerality to the wines and makes the Johanneshof Reinisch vineyards particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines from the Burgundy family. Pinot Noir , St. Laurent and Chardonnay form the main variety of varieties on offer at Johanneshof Reinisch. Rotgipfler and Zierfandler are cultivated on suitable terroir in the nearby town of Gumpoldskirchen , and are matured just as precisely as all other wines from Johanneshof Reinisch while preserving the beautiful varietal character. In accordance with the small climatic conditions, around 60% of the wines from the Johanneshof Reinisch are red wines, 40% are white and sweet wines. The maxim is definitely the winemaker's personal devotion to the wine. The brothers Johannes, Christian and Michael Reinisch manage the vineyards using beneficial organisms and a variety of greenery according to organic guidelines.
