Serving as the seventh iteration of their famed annual cask strength release, the Angel's Envy Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey 2019 Edition allows bourbon fans to experience the flavor of their iconic tipple in all its undiluted glory. Distilled from their proprietary bourbon mash bill, this whiskey began its life with the careful selection of the finest casks from their warehouses. Having matured for up to 7 years, these choice whiskeys are then married before being put through an extended finish process in used port wine casks allowing for even more of its character to seep into the bourbon before finally being bottled and package in a gorgeous wooden case.

Nose: On the nose, notes of honeyed apple, peach, apricot and overripe banana are present, along with black tea, toasted oak with a slight char and faint floral notes.

Palate: Angel’s Envy 2019 Cask Strength has notes of honey, apple, butterscotch, toffee and mellow vanilla, the company reports, as well as hints of oak and toast.

Finish: The medium-length finish includes tannin notes trailing into black tea.

Distillery Information

Louisville Distilling started as a three-generation family affair. Lincoln Henderson was an experienced industry insider, with nearly forty years of experience at Brown-Forman as a master distiller and research fellow. His son Wesley was first CEO at a micro distillery, then a distilling consulting company.
