Karuizawa is the gold standard for rare Japanese whisky. The distillery closed its doors in 2011, although it had not been producing whisky for over a decade. This particular whisky from Karuizawa was distilled in 1976, then matured in a single sherry butt #7818 for 34 years before being bottled in 2010. It is presented in an original box with only 554 bottles ever released.
