The distillery’s master-craftsman worked diligently to ensure the whisky spent exactly the right amount of time in the cask, resulting in a truly astounding, mouth-watering array of smells and flavours. There is a whole lot to be explored in this stunning single malt and, if that’s not enough to wet your palate, the bottle comes packaged inside an elegant box that doubles as a display case. This is a rare rum-cask-matured release from Kavalan, layering rummy fruit and sweetness on top of the Taiwanese distillery’s famously fruity spirit. The combination of a rum cask with Kavalan’s outstanding liquid yield an expression that is packed full of unique flavors that make this a whisky unlike any other. Rum cask bottlings have not previously been released under the Solist line, making this one of the most rare releases to come from Kavalan to date. With only 152 cask strength bottles available, this is a highly limited release. The third edition from the popular dekant? Oriental collection is expected to be in high demand given the extremely rare nature of the release.
