Detailed Description

Another glorious single grain from Port Dundas, bottled by the ever-brilliant Signatory! This particular whisky was distilled in 1996, well before the distillery closed its doors in 2010. It spent its days maturing in a single hogshead, until June 2020 when it was bottled at 24 years old, with 270 bottles released at 59.3% ABV for the Cask Strength Collection.

Nose: Frozen berries and melted white chocolate, with a pinch of tobacco alongside.

Palate: Buttered popcorn and salted caramel, with a more berries and cinnamon pastries.

Finish: Sweet cinnamon butter on a spicy finish.

Distillery Information

Port Dundas. Built in 1811 at the highest point in the city of Glasgow, at its peak Port Dundas was the largest distillery in Scotland, termed the blending powerhouse of Scotland. The distillery was one of the founding members of the grain distillers' conglomerate DCL.
