        Reviews:

        • Vinous: The 2016 Barolo is a powerful, deep wine that is going to need time to soften and further open up. Black cherry, plum, spice, leather, dried herbs and menthol infuse the 2016 with notable aromatic depth as well as a palpable sense of brooding, virile intensity to match its classically built, mid-weight structure. This is an especially potent vintage for the straight Barolo, and there is clearly so much going on in the glass; it is a superb wine in the making. The Barolo is a blend of 80% Berri and 20% Rocche dell’Annunziata.
        • Gary Walsh: Fine wines from Trediberri, most often delivered with a lighter touch. All La Morra, I believe, and unlike many from this great sub-zone, not ruined by influence of barrique. If only more would do the same. It’s still fine, red fruited and perfumed, but there’s an extra dimension of power and vitality in 2016. Cherry, new leather, liquorice root, mint and sage. Tannin is sure and has a graphite quality, and while there’s this cherry/plum candy succulence, it’s also pretty tense and tightly wound as a youngster. Acidity is fresh. Finish is long and clean, with brick dust tannin trailing.

        Producer Information

TrediBerri (from "Tre di Berri" – the Three of Berri) is a wine producer based in La Morra in the Barolo region of Piedmont in northwestern Italy, making a range of labels under local denominations. As its name suggests, the company was established by three prople: father-and-son winegrowers Federico and Nicola Oberto alongside Turin-based banker, wine producer and friend, Vladimiro Rambaldi. Established in 2007, TrediBerri (often simply stylised as "trediberri") released its first labels five years later. The winery holdings are based around a 1.5 hectare (3.7 acre) plot of Nebbiolo vines in the famed Rocche dell'Annunziata vineyard in La Morra. In all, TrediBerri's holdings cover around 10 hectares (25 acres) of vineyard, the majority of which are in the La Morra region. The vineyards are organic. The Rocche dell'Annunziata Barolo, alongside the La Morra and standard Barolo labels, forms the core – and flagship release – of the estate. The five hectare (12 acre) holding in the Berri vineyard (just west of La Morra, and from which the team derive their name) forms the majority of the latter label's production. A range of other local wines are produced, including a Barbera d'Alba, the Bricco Mollea Dogliani, and a Langhe Nebbiolo as well as a Langhe Rosato (rosé) and a Langhe Sauvignon Blanc.
