      Producer Information

Surrounded by the most valuable vineyards in the Nahe, right next to the river and reservoir, lies the idyllic wine village of Niederhausen. Since 1575 it has been the home of the Jakob Schneider family and winery, which is one of the most traditional businesses in the Nahe. We have always been dedicated to wine, but since 1901 we have concentrated entirely on producing high-quality wines from steep slopes. Currently three generations work hand in hand in the winery. Together, all “Schneiders” are committed to ensuring that the high expectations placed on our wines are met and, if possible, even exceeded, year after year. 18 hectares of vineyards are cultivated. These are 85 percent planted with Riesling, our family's great passion. Don't just drink wine - experience the fascination of our wines during a wine tasting with friends and like-minded people. Jakob Schneider Junior is responsible for developing the wines in the cellar and caring for the vineyards. Here he does not follow any common standards, but always works closely to the individual challenges of the year group based on current findings. He enjoys working out the special features of each individual layer using his sensory sensitivity. Year after year, with a lot of experience and sensitivity, he decides when and what work needs to be carried out and ensures that the vineyards are cared for optimally and sustainably. Jakob's wife Laura Schneider , who studied wine business administration, is responsible for marketing, trade and export. As a native of the Palatinate, sociability and wine are in her blood. Monika Schneider maintains contact with customers . She is the first point of contact for wine sales, accounting, shipping and logistics. Not to forget: the soul of the winery is Grandma Liesel . The lively senior manager has been looking after customers for over 40 years, and she also likes to entertain them with a wine poem. Their warm hospitality is known and appreciated far beyond the borders of the growing region. The youngest Schneider women are called Johanna and Julia Schneider . The six-year-old and her sister, who is only 1.5 years younger, keep the family busy away from the vineyards and bring a lot of fun and joy.
