      Detailed Description

Domaine de Bel Air Pouilly Fume is pale lemon, yellow in colour, the nose is fresh with lively citrus fruit notes and grass. Domaine de Bel Air Pouilly Fume has a firm, mineral palate has excellent balance of fine acidity with intense lemon, flint and pear flavours and a long crisp finish, it is medium to full-bodied.

      Producer Information

Created in the 1990s as part of the renaissance of the Tannay vineyards, Domaine Bel Air in Villiers-sur-Yonne covers 6 hectares of vines on well-exposed clay-limestone slopes along the middle reaches of the Yonne. The vines are farmed organically and the wines are vinified and matured in the Burgundian tradition. By appointment, the winegrower, Pierre Hervé, will welcome you to share his passion for his profession and show you his products. He offers you (depending on the vintage) - 4 or 5 vintages of white wines made from the Chardonnay grape variety, vinified separately by plot in order to express the character of each terroir. Some are aged in stainless steel vats to bring out their freshness and their delicate, fruity and floral aromas. Others are aged in barrels, which gives richer and more complex wines, suitable for ageing. - 2 to 4 cuvées of reds, made from Pinot Noir, also expressing the characteristics of their terroir of origin. These wines are pleasant in their youth, their freshness and fruitiness, but they can also be kept in the cellar where they will gain in complexity and refinement for sometimes more than 10 years.
