This 1997 vintage Blair Athol Highland single malt Scotch whisky was bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. for the Old Malt Cask 25th Anniversary series in October 2023. The whisky was matured for 26 years in a single sherry butt, which was filled into 290 bottles at 50% ABV.

Nose: Berries, nuts, and milk chocolate.
Palate: Marzipan icing, green herbs, and salted caramel.
Finish: Long, with a gentle hint of smoke.
Distillery Information
The Blair Athol distillery is very old. It was founded back in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson under the name of 'Aldour distillery'. However, it was not very successful and soon had to close. In 1825 the distillery was enlarged and reopened by John Robertson under the name Blair Athol.
