Botran 8 symbolizes all the advantages of Guatemalan rum with a Spanish touch. Botran is known for its maturation in a solera system, with ex-whiskey barrels. But for this dark rum, we also used ex-sherry barrels.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Palate: The palate is very powerful and complex. Smooth texture.

Finish: Lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression.

Distillery Information

The history of this rum originated in 1939 , when the Botrans, a family of Spanish emigrants, started the distillation activity in Guatemala , in the city of Quetzaltenango, which rises at 2300 meters above sea level, in a region considered ideal for the cultivation of sugar cane and for the aging of rum.
