Distilled in 2013, this expression spent 10 years maturing in a host of first-fill oloroso sherry butts and now joins the 100 Proof Edition from Signatory, appropriately bottled at the old school 100 proof, 57.1% ABV.

Nose: Intensely peaty, with big waves of iodine, peppermint, and earthy smoke supported by meaty malt, pressed apples, and buttered crackers.

Palate: Bold, smouldering ash, charcoal, smoked oak and burnt biscuits lead the way before syrupy flapjack, cocoa, and anise develop in time.

Finish: A touch of candied smoked bacon, oily smoked nuts and clove.

Distillery Information

First founded in 1881, Bunnahabhain relied upon the sea trade. Armed only with a small village, a pier and lots of whisky making know-how, our forefathers received supplies by boat and sent adventuring seafarers back to the mainland with casks full of whisky.
