Vibrant and complex with an impeccable balance between distillery character and oak, the liquid is from refill American oak hogsheads and is bottled at a natural cask strength of 48.2%. Nose: Butter pastry and nutmeg, with apples, pears and brown sugar.
Palate: Sweet and fruity with caramelised apple and oak spice.
Finish: Liquorice fades to baked apples and warming oak.
Distillery Information
Convalmore is one of the seven Speyside distilleries that are mentioned in the famous quote “Rome was built on seven hills, Dufftown stands on seven stills”. Balvenie, Glenfiddich, Dufftown, Mortlach, Glendullan and Parkmore are the other six. Parkmore and Convalmore share the same fate and are closed and dismantled. But most buildings are still there and are used as warehouses.
