Fortaleza Winter Blend 2024 Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: Inviting aromas of cooked agave, warm vanilla, and toasted oak, layered with hints of baking spices, caramel, and dried fruit.

Palate: A harmonious blend of sweet and savory flavors, including roasted agave, butterscotch, and hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Subtle notes of dried apricot, dark chocolate, and oak spice add depth and balance.

Finish: Smooth and long, with a warming embrace of oak, spice, and a touch of agave sweetness that lingers beautifully.

Distillery Information

Don Javier bought land in Tequila, including a distillery named La Fortaleza. This distillery worked until 1968 using old methods, then became a museum. In 1976, the family sold the business but kept the land, hacienda, and distillery. Guillermo, Don Javier's grandson, started restoring the old distillery in 1999.
