Kever Genever is made by hand in small batches. The Old Genever satisfies with an intense aroma of juniper and a soft texture. The finish is pleasantly bitter with notes of almonds. Genever is the old form of gin and the national drink of the Netherlands. Kever Genever is made in the homonymous distillery in Amsterdam.

Distillery Information

Jenever was originally produced by distilling malt wine (moutwijn in Dutch) to 50% alcohol by volume. Because the resulting spirit was not palatable due to the lack of refined distilling techniques (with only the pot still being available), herbs were added to mask the flavour.
