Detailed Description
Detailed Description
Loch Lomond Distillery has quite the love affair with golf, further affirmed by this 25 Year Old limited edition Three Wood Matured single malt! Three Wood is named after Colin Montgomerie’s iconic winning shot of the 1997 Ryder Cup contest which was made using a - wait for it - three wood club! Of course, it's also been aged in three different woods types, with an initial maturation spent in refill American oak casks, before it was treated to a second ageing in a combination of first fill Limousin French oak and Oloroso sherry casks for six months. Only 500 bottles were produced at 46.3% ABV.

Distillery Information
Loch Lomond Distillery was commissioned by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1964 with first distillation in 1966. In 1984, the distillery closed - or fell silent, to use the traditional term. Happily though, Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired the business and resumed malt production in 1987. Grain whisky production began in 1993 and two new malt stills were added in 1999.
