This 23-year-old began as a semi-annual bottling in 2008 made by Pappy’s grandson (Julian III) to honour his grandfather that would immediately sell out upon release. In 2010, the distillery decided to make it a permanent member of the portfolio. It remains one of the rarest bourbon whiskies to purchase due to its extremely limited output only released annually in small batches.

Nose: Dark fruit, espresso coffee, oak and buttery toffee. Sublime stuff.
Palate: Rich and spicy. Oak underpinning nutty sweetness, honey and star anise.
Finish: Spicy and sweet, long.

Buffalo Trace Distillery is a distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, that is owned by the Sazerac Company. It has historically been known by several names, including the George T. Stagg Distillery and the Old Fire Copper Distillery.
