Starr 7 Year Oak Aged Vieux Rum

Starr Rum is made in South Africa from a base of sugar cane they imply is grown on the island of Mauritius (they proudly mention the "rich, volcanic soil"). This release is aged for 7 years, a rather long time in the rum world, and then bottled for a premium product.

Nose: Mild brown sugar and butterscotch aromas.

Palate: Buttery palate starts with oak, vanilla and cookie dough.

Finish: Long finish with a swirl of clove and cinnamon.

Starr's distillery is environmentally sustainable. By harnessing the energy created from charring our cane, Starr's distillery is completely self-powered. From cane to glass, Starr Rum is produced entirely on the estate.
