A very rare bottle of Balmenach 10yo, this was released by Signatory in the early Nineties as part of their Scottish Wildlife series. The wildlife in question here is the Capercaillie.

Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.

Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.

Finish: Finish is lingering.

Balmenach Distillery was established in 1824 by James McGregor, from a family of farmers and illicit distillers who resided in Tomintoul.
