The inaugural release of BenRiach's Cask Strength series! These releases will work much like the popular Glendronach Cask Strengths and are bottled at natural strength. The whisky chosen for Batch 1 is classic BenRiach in style. You will be treated to a voluptuous sweet taste of honey, soft fruits and gentle spices β but at a cask strength of 57.2% ABV, it packs a real punch!
Benriach Cask Strength Batch 1 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Very cereal-y, vanilla, citrus notes with touches of lemon zest. Hint of milk chocolate. With time, toast and butter and some orange peel marmalade. Water brings out more of the honey.
Palate: Cereal and pepper with some other spices in the background. With water, itβs sweeter and a little less peppery, at least until you hold it in your mouth for a few seconds.
Finish: The pepper is the first thing to Linger, but sweet notes appear on the tongue. With water the linger is dryer.

The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
