This single cask expression from Islay's oldest distillery was laid down in July 1995 in sherry cask #1558. Left to mature for more than 24 years, this expression was released as a distillery exclusive in 2019 and has been filled by hand from the cask. Each bottle is presented at a strength of 48.8% abv with individual bottle numbers.
Distillery Information
Bowmore is a distillery that produces scotch whisky on the isle of Islay, an island of the Inner Hebrides. The distillery, which lies on the South Eastern shore of Loch Indaal, is one of the oldest in Scotland and is said to have been established in 1779. The distillery is owned by Beam Suntory who also own the Auchentoshan, Glen Garioch, Laphroaig and Ardmore distilleries and produce the Teacher's Highland Cream blend.
