Limousin Rye is the first release from the Dancing Goat Distillery. A smooth & flavorful American rye whiskey that's wonderfully neat yet complex enough for the perfect cocktail. Limousin Rye is finished in Limousin Oak - the world's most expensive cooperage. French oak staves are added towards the end of our aging and then finished in a custom solera system of Limousin Oak barrels.
Limousin Rye Whiskey Tasting Note
Nose: Rustic. Notes of cracked pepper and earthy grain are calmed by noble oak vanillin, orange peel and red spice on the nose.
Palate: Distinctly sweet. Vanilla-forward palate includes an intriguing dark fruit note that suggests juicy blackberry or plum.
Finish: Richness. Coats the palate in oak flavors all supported by the assertive rye grain.
