Originally a travel retail exclusive, Macallan Oscuro is a combination of casks filled between 1987 and 1997. The Master Distiller has combined the collectability of Macallan with once trademark, rich, sherried elegance to create a luxurious expression. Macallan Oscuro 1824 Collection Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Ripened woodland fruits, dark chocolate, orange, creamy vanilla.
Palate: Delicate fruits, rich sweetness and spice. Dried figs, ripe oranges and a hint of crisp apples.
Finish: Full and lingering with a hint or warming wood smoke.
Distillery Information
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
